It is not everyday that you have the pleasure of photographing some of your closest friends. I have been hoping for this one for a while, and if you can’t tell why, then just go ahead and start scrolling to see some of the cutest kids in the world. And yes, at the end you might get to see what happens when you give Krispy Kreme doughnuts to three 3 kids (who are under the age of 5!). I mean, it is a Chapel Hill tradition after all. I did happen to buy one extra for myself in case you were wondering!
If you can’t tell, we did venture down to Chapel Hill and spent some time on the UNC Chapel Hill campus. It is a beautiful place to have your portraits taken (unless you happen to be a fan of the team a little further up Tobacco Road). I might live in Durham and drink the Duke basketball kool-aid, but Chapel Hill is a beautiful place. Between the massive 100 year old oak trees with sun shining through and adorable children, I find my job to be pretty easy.
Working with families is always an adventure and I am not above simple bribery, although I do believe that most of the time was spent running from the photographer. Their parents did a great job to help corral them for the family picture, but most of these images were simply captured in the moment. The oldest was a little nervous at first, but quickly got on board when she realized that this a moment to “be pretty like a princess,” and the other two quickly fell in line.
I love these kids and their parents and look forward to seeing how they continue to grow as a family. Thanks again for the opportunity to work with you.
We would also love to work with you and your family.
